MBoSE to celebrate golden jubilee

TURA, Oct 10: Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE) is set to celebrate its golden jubilee with a three-day extravaganza including various programmes on October 17, 18 and 19.
To mark 50 years of its existence, MBOSE Director (Administration), Tura has announced various programmes including PPT presentation on ‘Milestones of MBOSE’ release of souvenir, quiz, and cultural items to be performed by students from various schools.
The three-day celebrations will commence with a rally from MBOSE campus at 9:15 am by NH51, MBOSE staff and schools ending at Green Haven, New Tura on the opening day.
On the second day, Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar will grace the occasion as chief guest, Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma as guest of honour, Commissioner & Secretary, Education Department Pravin Bakshi as special guest and the afternoon session will include academic discourse by different distinguished speakers on ‘The Spread of Education in Meghalaya.
On the last day of the celebration Chief Minister Conrad Sangma will grace the occasion as chief guest, Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma as guest of honour and the chief secretary to the Government of Meghalaya D P Wahlang as special guest.
