Shillong, October 12: The much-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan in the 2023 World Cup is set to take place in Ahmedabad on Saturday, with all eyes focused on the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Such is the excitement surrounding this marquee contest that a special musical show will add to the feverish buildup.

India Today reported that official broadcasters are gearing up to commence their coverage on the eve of this monumental World Cup encounter, ensuring that cricket enthusiasts are fully prepared for this grand spectacle.

While it’s challenging for the players to ignore the hype, India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah have attempted to downplay the buzz. They emphasize the team’s commitment to concentrating on their performance on the field, rather than getting distracted by the pre-match chatter.

Rohit Sharma stated, “Our focus is on things we can control. We need to perform well and pay attention to factors like the pitch and our team composition. External factors won’t affect us.”

This India vs. Pakistan showdown couldn’t have come at a better time in this year’s World Cup. India is riding high on confidence after their Asia Cup victory and a strong start in the home World Cup. In contrast, Pakistan made a bold statement by successfully chasing down a target against Sri Lanka, demonstrating their ability to rebound from the Asia Cup disappointment.

Pakistan entered the Asia Cup as one of the favorites but faced setbacks with losses to India and Sri Lanka during the Super 4s, ultimately failing to reach the final.
