Shillong, October 12: The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas terrorists has resulted in over 3,000 casualties on both sides of the Gaza border, including civilians.

The violence and loss of life have not only affected those in Israel but also their relatives in India.

As per a report in India Today, with the death toll rising daily, Israelis residing in India worry about their loved ones in the war-torn nation. Many are deeply resentful of the surprise attack on Israel by Hamas terrorists over the weekend.

Some Israelis have been living in India for an extended period, while others are tourists who now wish to return to their homeland as soon as possible. Keneriyat, an Israeli woman living in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu district, shared her experience after her house was bombed during the attack. She has been in touch with her brother, who serves in the Israeli Army, and expressed her concerns about her family’s safety in Israel.

Sheera, an Israeli tourist in Kullu, emphasized the need for support as the military battles Hamas terrorists in Israel. She called the recent conflict horrific and unexpected and urged the world to understand the situation in Israel, stressing that Israel’s primary goal is to protect its people.

Amat, another Israeli tourist in Rajasthan’s Pushkar, expressed his intention to return to Israel and join the Israeli defense forces in response to Hamas’s unprovoked attacks. He plans to go back on October 15.

In the village of Dharamkot in McLeodganj, often referred to as ‘Mini Israel’ due to its significant Israeli population, residents are seeking ways to return to Israel to provide assistance during this crisis. Many are cautious about appearing on camera, fearing for the safety of their relatives in Israel. They condemn the actions of Hamas and hope for peace in the days to come.
