Guv condoles demise of two IAS officers

SHILLONG, Oct 16: Governor Phagu Chauhan has conveyed his condolences to the families and friends of two distinguished former IAS officers — SF Khongwir and DK Dkhar, who passed away on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
“Dkhar and Khongwir were exemplary public servants who dedicated their careers to the betterment of Meghalaya. Their unwavering commitment and contributions to the state’s progress in various fields are deeply valued,” the Governor said in a statement issued here on Monday.
Dkhar’s open-mindedness and compassion, coupled with Khongwir’s efficiency and sincerity, made them role models for countless public servants, the Governor remarked, adding that their passing is a profound loss for the state and its people.
