Sawakani Lakiang bags 1st position in zonal body building and model championships

JOWAI, Oct 16: Twenty-year-old Sawakani Lakiang of Tpep-Pale, Jowai has done the state proud by bagging the first position of the Mr. and Miss East India 2023 Zonal Body Building Championship (bikini model category) organised by World Fitness Federation (India) in collaboration with Profitness Club held in Ranchi on the 13th and 14th of October, 2023.
The Bouncer Association of Meghalaya (BAM) Jaintia Hills Unit on Monday felicitated Lakiang at Jingkieng Myntdu (Jingkieng Pamblah) in Jowai.
Lakiang had previously won the muscle contest which was held at Jowai. She is also an active member of the Bouncer Association of Meghalaya (BAM) Jaintia Hills Unit,
She is a first-year English Honours student of Kiang Nangbah College, Jowai. Her parents Irina Mary Lakiang and Wadbha Lyngdoh wholeheartedly thanked the Bouncer Asdsociation Of Meghalaya (BAM) for their help and support which paved the way for the young athlete to reach this milestone so very early in her career.
The parents also thanked the coaches and other officials of the association for all their help to make Sawakani’s zonal tourney a massive success.
