Khliehriat, Oct 17:In a thrilling ‘Quarter Final’ match of the 1st Division football league organized by the East Jaiñtia Hills District Football Association (EJHDFA), the Chiehruphi SYWSC witnessed an intense and closely-fought competition.
As the ‘Quarter Final’ progressed, the Wahiajer NYSSC and Chiehruphi SYWSC teams engaged in a fierce battle, resulting in a nail-biting 2-2 draw after regular time. Yearly Mukhim of Wahiajer NYSSC made an early impact, netting a goal at the 4th minute, while Monme Mynsong extended the lead at the 9th minute. However, Chiehruphi SYWSC made an impressive comeback, with Sa-o-Bareh finding the net twice at the 23rd minute and a crucial penalty converted by Suting Syrti at the 58th minute.With both teams deadlocked, a Tie Breaker shootout was required to determine the ultimate victor. Chiehruphi SYWSC emerged triumphant, defeating Wahiajer NYSSC with a final score of 4-2 in the shootout.
