MCA announce squad for BCCI Women’s U-19 T20 Trophy

Shillong, Oct 18: In an exciting development for cricket enthusiasts, the Meghalaya Cricket Association unveiled its 15-member squad, along with three standby players, who will represent the state in the upcoming BCCI Women’s U-19 T20 Trophy.
This selection was made with a keen eye on recent performances at the BCCI Women’s U-19 One Day Trophy.
The Meghalaya team, which made its mark in the One Day Trophy, has been placed in a challenging group for the T20 competition. They are set to face off against Chandigarh, Sikkim, Baroda, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala.
These matches are scheduled to take place from November 2 to November 9 in the vibrant city of Mumbai.
To ensure the team is well-prepared for this high-stakes tournament, a comprehensive preparatory camp will kick off on October 21 and continue until October 29 in Mendipathar.
Following this, the squad, excluding the standby players, will embark on their journey to Mumbai on October 30.
The Meghalaya squad comprises the following talented players: Jaylynn R Marak, Janicka R Marak, Ankita Sharma, Emisakani Warjri, Marme M Sangma, Sistilin Ryntathiang, Julitha Sangma, Shreya Marak, Dawanshisha Warlarpih, Abiezer Kharsyiem, Awesa G Momin, Kambesa Agitok Sangma, Jayshree Singh, Dubleen D Nengnong, and Banrikmen Lyngdoh Tongkhar.
Additionally, the standby players who are ready to step in if needed are Rikmanchi M Sangma, Dianchidora N Sangma, and Monica Singh.
The support staff, crucial to the team’s success, includes Ranjana Yadav as the head coach, Marty Mustafa as the assistant coach, Helyna D Sangma as the trainer, Lucky Mary Marbaniang as the physiotherapist, and Daniel Dan also serving as a physiotherapist.
The Meghalaya Cricket Association and the entire state eagerly await the team’s performance in the BCCI Women’s U-19 T20 Trophy and wish them the very best in their quest for glory.
