From Our Correspondent
TURA, Oct 19: The AMMSU in Garo Hills on Thursday rued the lack of response from Education authorities to a complaint filed earlier alleging misleading advertisement put out by two schools in West Garo Hills in connection with the recruitment of a teacher.
A complaint over alleged lack of response was filed on the same day with the Commissioner and Secretary, Education department in Shillong.
The alleged misleading advertisement towards the recruitment of assistant teachers were put out by two schools- the Rajabala Higher Secondary School and the Bhaitbari Higher Secondary School, against which a complaint was earlier filed to the DSEL in Shillong, by the union on September 13. However, the official is neither said to have sent any official acknowledgement, nor issued a directive to the management committee.
Pointing out that all schools in West Garo Hills, barring those in the plain belt region, are adhering to the NCTE and MTET notifications, the union urged that swift action be taken.
