Shillong, October 24: Emir of the State of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, made a powerful statement on Tuesday, expressing his opposition to giving Israel an unconditional green light to use unrestricted force.

“We say enough is enough, and it is not permissible for Israel to be given an unconditional green light and unrestricted permission to kill. It is not permissible to continue ignoring the reality of occupation, siege, and settlement,” wrote the Qatari Emir.

As per IANS, he emphasized that Qatar rejects double standards and the disregard for the lives of children. The Emir urged for international adherence to resolutions of international legitimacy and the Arab initiative.

The Emir also voiced deep concern about the situation in Gaza, describing it as a danger to both religious and worldly values, customs, and laws. He stressed that using essential resources like water, medicine, and food as weapons against a whole population should not be tolerated in today’s world.

Furthermore, he called for a regional and international stance against the escalating situation that threatens the security of the region and the world.

The article also mentions the Israeli armed forces’ military buildup along the Gaza border and their recent heavy bombardment of Gaza. The Emir called for an end to the war, emphasizing that it would only lead to more suffering, increased casualties, and a sense of injustice.

According to the Hamas-run Health Ministry, the conflict between Israel and Hamas has resulted in a significant loss of life, with over 5,000 people killed in Gaza.
