Man killed after bus rams into bike in Assam

Guwahati, Oct 25:  A man was killed in Assam’s Barpeta district after a speeding bus rammed into his bike, officials said on Wednesday.

The accident took place on Tuesday night in Besimari village.

According to information, the driver of the passenger bus lost control and rammed into the bus, killing the rider, identified as Rakibul Islam, on the spot.

Islam was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead by on arrival.

A case under relevant section has been lodged and police have launched a manhunt to nab the driver and his helper who fled after the accident.
