Shillong, October 30: Actress Sushmita Sen, who faced a heart attack while filming the third season of her popular series ‘Aarya’, shared insights into how the supportive environment on set eased her re-entry.

‘Aarya’ is synonymous with strength, a character who can weather a storm and become one. Sushmita Sen, the actress behind this role, is equally fierce. Following a severe health scare, Sushmita swiftly embraced her character, Aarya Sareen, once more.

Reflecting on her return to the show’s set, Sushmita expressed, “I was eager to return to work. The longer you dwell on a situation, the more it can consume you. The best way to overcome life’s challenges is to keep moving forward, and all I needed was the green light from my doctor to proceed.”

She continued, “Initially, I didn’t think shooting action sequences just one month after my heart attack was possible, but the trust I had in my team was enough.”

Sushmita emphasized, “My confidence in returning to the set came from knowing I had the necessary support whenever I needed it. We had a full hospital setup, doctors, an ambulance, and everything ready as we resumed shooting.”

In the third season, Aarya sets her sights on the supply and transportation of a narcotic drug but faces a formidable adversary in Ila Arun, who dominates the supply side.

Created and co-directed by the visionary Ram Madhvani and co-produced by Amita Madhavni, Ram Madhvani Films, and Endemol Shine India, ‘Aarya 3’ will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar from November 3.

In addition to ‘Aarya’, Sushmita also featured in the web series ‘Taali,’ portraying the inspiring journey of transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant. The show, created by Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartk D. Nishandar and directed by Ravi Jadhav, brings Shreegauri Sawant’s story to life.
