Shillong, October 31: Delhi Minister Atishi made a bold claim on Tuesday, alleging that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) will arrest Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal when he appears before them, alluding that this action is driven by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s fear of him.

As per IANS, the ED had issued a summons for Kejriwal, calling him for questioning on November 2, regarding the alleged Delhi excise policy scam case. This move comes after Kejriwal was previously questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in April.

Significantly, the summons coincided with the Supreme Court’s denial of bail to former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia.

Atishi stated, “The potential arrest of Arvind Kejriwal is not related to any specific legal case against him but is rather a result of Prime Minister Modi’s apprehensions.”

She continued, “The BJP and PM Modi are aware that they cannot defeat the AAP in elections. Therefore, in an attempt to undermine the AAP, they are detaining its prominent leaders. Incarcerating key figures of the Aam Aadmi Party signifies one thing – the BJP’s determination to eliminate the AAP.”

Atishi made these remarks while addressing the media in Delhi.
