Shillong, Nov 1: The Meghalaya Cricket Association (MCA) has officially revealed its 15-member squad for the upcoming BCCI’s Women’s U-15 One Day Trophy, set to kick off later this month.
The young and talented squad is gearing up for a series of intense matches in Kolkata as they prepare to take on Assam, Jammu & Kashmir, Nagaland, Delhi, and Karnataka.
The MCA has left no stone unturned in ensuring the team’s preparedness for the tournament. To that end, a rigorous preparatory camp will commence in Guwahati on November 3 and is slated to conclude on November 13. The camp will provide the players with valuable training and practice sessions to fine-tune their skills and strategize for the upcoming challenges.
Following the camp’s conclusion, the players and officials, with the exception of the three designated standbys, will embark on their journey to Kolkata the following day. The MCA is leaving no room for complacency, emphasizing the importance of teamwork, dedication, and discipline as they aim to make their mark in the competition.
The Meghalaya squad: Anastesia Shullai, Anjana Kumari, Awesaina S Marak, Carieyoka Lyngdoh, Dejianna M Sangma, Diya Biswa, Habandarisha Shangpliang, Jennyfer Fancon, Joannah Pyngrope, Lini Mandakini Ksoo, Mania Sangma, Mendy Adrena Mawlong, Ronjoli Basumatary, Steffenie Sohshang, Zoya Tasneem; Standbys: Evanrihun Sohshang, Bijimme Ch Momin, Lawanjanai Synnah.
The support staff for the team comprises:Rupashree Sharma (Head Coach), Bhakupar Mylliemngap (Assistant Coach), Sweetie Marboh (Trainer). Jakrimbal D Arengh (Physio), Manager (to be decided)
