Light from burning candles atop graves at Lawsohtun Cemetery gleams, on Sunday. All Souls Day is
observed on November 2 every year. However, there are parishes that observe it on the days following
the official All Souls Day, the reason being that there are families in these parishes who have graves
to attend to located in the main Laitumkhrah Catholic Cemetery, this space being the only one for
deceased adherents to be buried in when other parishes did not have cemeteries of their own. (ST)
