Shillong, November 7: Meta has rolled out a series of updates across Facebook and Instagram to entice creators and empower them to earn income from their content.

As per IANS, for creators in the US, South Korea, and Japan, Meta is testing an exclusive holiday bonus on Instagram. This initiative will reward creators for sharing their creativity through reels and photos (including single-image posts and carousels).

Selected creators will have the opportunity to test this bonus until the end of the year. Earnings will be based on the number of reels plays and photo views during the bonus period, provided the content complies with Content Monetization Policies.

Meta also celebrated the milestone of over one million active subscriptions to creators through Instagram subscriptions, which was achieved within a year of the program’s launch. This initiative is available in more than 35 countries, including India. To support creator growth, Meta has introduced new promotional tools, such as prominently displaying the Subscribe button when followers view content in Feed and simplifying the process of welcoming new subscribers through DMs and Stories.

On Facebook, Meta is expanding subscription options, allowing followers to subscribe via Reels and Stories. Creators can now offer free 30-day subscription trials to their fans. The company is also granting creators greater control over subscription pricing, enabling them to adjust the price over time.

Furthermore, Meta is simplifying the process for creators to engage in advertising by providing additional ad eligibility information when creating Instagram Stories, especially for those working with brand partners on Branded Content and Partnership Ads. If a creator selects “Allow brand partner to boost” when creating a story, they will receive prompts to address ad eligibility issues in their content.
