MLP rout Sanmer 7-2 to reach semis

Shillong, Nov 6: Meghalaya Police came through as convincing 7-2 victors over Sanmer SC in the first quarterfinal of the Shillong Sports Association’s Third Division at First Ground, Polo, here on Monday.
The completely one-sided contest saw MLP score through Wesmanwell L Marshillong (18′), Wankhraw Nengnong (49′), Ambrous Syngkli (50′, 80′), Aldrin Ramsiej (57′), Pynshailang L Lyngkhoi (61′) and Alfoster Sunn (80′).
Sanmer managed two goals but the first came when the side was already trailing 5-0. They were scored by Bryan Kharbudnah (62′) and Aaron Kharbudnah (74′).
The Meghalaya Police had qualified for the knockouts after topping Group A with a full 15 points from five matches.
Sanmer, meanwhile, had come second in Group C with two wins and a draw.
