Rotary Club Shillong Heritage under its Water and Sanitation project constructed a drinking water station, hand washing area, a toilet and urinals for boys at Arya Kanya Vidyalaya Secondary School Laitumkharah, which was inaugurated by past District Governor Manas Chaudhuri. He also launched the Child Development Program under Rotary India Literacy Mission for the school children. The club also supported Jyoti Sroat School for their skill development programmes and a wheelchair was also handed over to one of the beneficiaries by Assistant Governor Amit Sharma under the leadership of District Governor Nilesh Kumar Agarwal.
