New Delhi, Nov 7: India’s young batting sensation Shafali Verma will lead North Zone team in the Inter-Zonal women’s T20 tournament scheduled to be held in Lucknow from November 24 to December 4.
All-rounder Harleen Deol will be Shafali’s deputy while veteran keeper Tanya Bhatia and out-of-favour Sushma Verma are also part of the squad.

The BCCI Women’s Inter-Zonal T20 is an annual cricket tournament organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the five women’s cricket zones in India. The tournament was first held in 2018.
The tournament is held in a round-robin format, with each team playing the other teams once. The top two teams from the round-robin stage qualify for the final.The current champion is the North Zone, who won the 2023 tournament.
