State athletes selected for Asian Armwrestling Cup

Shillong, Nov 7: In an exciting development for the state of Meghalaya, four promising athletes – Alan S Marbaniang, Airikmen Shabong, Senebi Syngkli, and Kishore Chettri have been chosen to represent the country at the prestigious Asian Armwrestling Cup 2023, set to take place in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
These selections were made based on their remarkable performances at the National Armwrestling Championship 2023, held at GLA University in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh from June 1 to 4, 2023.
The championship was organized by the “Uttar Pradesh Armwrestling Association” under the supervision of the “People’s Armwrestling Federation India.”The much-anticipated Asian Armwrestling Cup 2023 is scheduled to occur from November 17 to 25, in Samarkand city, Uzbekistan, serving as the venue. This event, which is poised to be a thrilling showcase of armwrestling prowess, is expected to attract participants and enthusiasts from across the Asian continent.
