31 students feted for good performance

SHILLONG, Nov 11: A total of 31 students were awarded for their achievement in their respective exams at the 29th Educational Award organised by the Seng Samla Wahingdoh on Friday.
Banraplang B Tron, with 6th Position in BSc Biotechnology, and Hubertwell Thabah, with 10th Position in BSc, Environmental Science
Awards were also given to students who have achieved highest marks in each subject among Class X and XII (Arts, Science and Commerce).
At the beginning of the function, a welcome speech was delivered by the president, Anthony, and Miss Marcelia Born Syiemlieh delivering the History of Educational Award on it all started with from the year 1992.
Rangbah Shnong RS Marbaniang and Mawkhar MDC Pynshngain N Syiem were the guests of honour advising and guiding the students about career.
Fedilia Miranda Shabong, Principal of Seng Khasi Higher Secondary School, Jaiaw, an alumnus of Synjuk Secondary School, was the ‘Inspirational Speaker’ talking to the awardees about how to always walk in humility and in obedience towards parents and elders and towards the society.
Dr Mazel Ampareen Lyngdoh, Health Minister, who was the chief guest, spoke about many things in connection with education and career guidance and welfare of the society.
