KSU detects five labourers without valid documents

SHILLONG, Nov 11: The KSU Mission Unit on Saturday detected five non-tribal labourers who were engaged in work without valid documents.
The union led by its general secretary, Albert L Mawlong, apprehended these non-tribal labourers from Mairang Mission, Eastern West Khasi Hills District.
According to the union, the workers had come to Mairang for the work of laying tiles in a house.
The Union had asked them to immediately leave the village.
The KSU also warned anyone from the village against bringing in labourers from outside without verifying their antecedents.
“We will not hesitate to act against those who bring non-tribal labourers in the village without proper documents,” the union added.
