Child Rights focused during Children’s Day celebration in SWGH

Ampati, November 14: The district of South West Garo Hills celebrated Children’s Day with fervor and purpose at the Multi Facility Centre in Ampati. The event, organized by the District Administration in collaboration with ICDS & MSRLS, centered around the theme, “For every child every right.”
The day was filled with engaging activities, including outdoor games, educational games, storytelling sessions, and a talent competition. These activities aimed to create an atmosphere of joy and learning for the children in attendance.
RZD Shira, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of South West Garo Hills, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasized the significance of celebrating every child, regardless of their school attendance. Chief Guest Shira highlighted the crucial role of nutrition in the developmental stage of children, contributing not only to physical growth but also mental well-being.
Moreover, Chief Guest Shira stressed the importance of holistic development, urging for the installation of values and a positive attitude in children. He underlined the need for a comprehensive approach to ensure the well-rounded growth of the younger generation.
The Children’s Day celebration served as a platform to underscore the rights of every child and to promote a nurturing environment that fosters their overall development.
The event also saw the presence of notable figures such as ZR Marak DSWO, TK Marak CDPO, Zikzak T Marak DSEO, and a gathering of Anganwadi workers. The diverse participation from schools across the district showcased a unified commitment to the welfare and development of the region’s children. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from children and the community alike, making it a memorable and impactful celebration.
