Shillong, Nov 14: Shillong Lajong FC’s Under-19 secured a resounding victory on Tuesday, triumphing over SAIL, Bokaro with a commanding 4-0 scoreline in the Oil-DFA All India Level Under-19 Inter-Academy Invitational Football Tournament 2023 held in Duliajan, Assam.
The star of the match was Deibormame Tongper, who exhibited exceptional prowess by scoring three of the four goals.
Nakul Ajay also contributed to the team’s success with one goal. Tongper’s outstanding performance earned him the coveted title of Player of the Match, thanks to his impressive hattrick.
With this triumph, the Lajong Under-19 team have notched victories in both of their group-stage encounters, securing their passage to the semifinals of the tournament.
