Veteran filmmaker Rajkumar Kohli of Nagin fame passes away
Actor Armaan Kohli’s father, veteran filmmaker Rajkumar Kohli has died at the age of 93. The late filmmaker’s last rites will be held on Friday. Rajkumar Kohli was famous for directing several Bollywood films such as Dulla Bhatti, which was released in 1966 and Lootera starring Dara Singh which was released in 1970s. Other films include Nagin (1976), Jaani Dushman (1979), Naukar Biwi Ka and Raaj Tilak (1984). His son Armaan had made his debut as a leading actor with his father’s 1992 movie Virodhi. He had also made Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani, which featured Sunny Deol and Akshay Kumar, among others. (IANS)

 

Prime Video sets Nov 30 release for noir series Shehar Lakhot
Noir series Shehar Lakhot is set to premiere on Prime Video on November 30, the streaming platform announced on Friday. An Offroad Films Production, the show is directed by Navdeep Singh. He also serves as the co-writer and co-creator along with Devika Bhagat. It features actors Priyanshu Painyuli, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Kubbra Sait in the lead. Set in the fictional small marble mining town of Lakhot, the series centres on a man who is forced to return to his hometown – the fictional town of Lakhot, to confront his past. He finds himself unintentionally caught up in a deadly game, even as the city itself becomes a dangerous battleground for vested interests, each with a hidden agenda, the official synopsis reads. Singh, who also serves as an executive producer on the show along with Khalil Bachooali, said Shehar Lakhot is a multilayered and nuanced noir crime drama that will take viewers through a “labyrinth of human complexities, secrets, twists and betrayal”. girl, names her London
Socialite Paris Hilton surprised her fans on Thanksgiving by announcing that she has welcomed a baby girl via surrogate, and named her London. The star, 42, shared the happy news by posting a pink baby outfit with the name ‘London’ – thereby revealing the gender and name of her little one. ‘Thankful for my baby girl,’ the heiress wrote in the caption of the image. After initially confusing fans by not revealing if the baby was on the way or had already been born, Paris clarified in a TikTok comment that her daughter has already arrived, writing: “My princess has arrived!!” This is her second child with husband Carter Reum, 42. The pair welcomed son Phoenix via surrogate in January, reports dailymail.co.uk. (IANS)

 

‘Forgive me’, Mansoor Ali Khan
tells Trisha; she says ‘forgiven’
Actor Trisha Krishnan on Friday accepted colleague Mansoor Ali Khan’s apology for making a sexist comment about her, apparently ending their public tiff though a police complaint against him remained on the books. Amid Khan’s appearance before the police for an inquiry following the filing of an FIR against him, the actor expressed regret to the police officer upon learning that Krishnan had been deeply upset by his comment. The well-known Tamil actor Khan, who has essayed villain roles in a multitude of films, said: “Forgive me Trisha, my colleague in the film industry.” In her response, Trisha Krishnan said on X: “To err is human, to forgive is divine.” She, however, did not make any direct reference to Khan’s apology.
