SHILLONG, Nov 30: Normalcy returned in the city on Thursday following two days on panic buying of fuel as multiple oil tankers supplied petrol and diesel in various parts of the state.
The normalcy came about following a meeting between Commission and Secretary of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, Pravin Bakshi and oil suppliers in Nongpoh on Wednesday.
“The oil tankers arrived in our state today in a regular manner, and the strike was officially called off this morning,” Bakshi stated, adding that there is a stable and sufficient supply of petroleum products and that people have been advised to restock as needed.
