SHILLONG, Dec 4: Water supply in Shillong and its adjoining areas will be disrupted for two days — on Wednesday and Thursday — due to interconnection of DI pipelines under shifting of PHE utilities for improvement and widening of Shillong-Dawki Road.
“This is brought to the notice of all concerned that there will be a shutdown of the Greater Shillong Water Supply Scheme for a period of 2 days. During this period, there will be no water supply to Shillong city and its adjoining areas and every attempt shall be made to the extent possible to supply water to the public at the earliest,” the PHE chief engineer said in a notification on Monday.
