Shillong, Dec 5: Kongthong Tourist Information Centre (KTIC), was inaugurated by the Sordar of Kongthong village, Teibor Lynrah on Tuesday.
It was told that the main objective of the information centre was to welcome tourists who visit the village and also to escort them to various places inside the village.
It may be noted that the inflow of tourist to Kongthong has seen an upward trend especially after the village had received the Best Tourism Village (Bronze Category) from the Ministry of Tourism.
Chairman of Meghalaya Rural Tourism Cooperative Federation Ltd Shillong, Rothell Khongsit was also present on the occasion.
