Church committees receive financial assistance

SHILLONG, Dec 10: Financial assistance of Rs 350000 under Discretionary Grant 2023 was extended to all church committees of South Shillong at a pre-Christmas and New Year celebration here.
According to a statement issued here, the programme was organised by MLA and Chairman of the monitoring-cum-implementation committee of South Shillong constituency, Sanbor Shullai.
‘The MLA has also appealed to all the beneficiaries to involve children who hail from under privilege section to celebrate the Christmas and New Year in a befitting manner’.
The programme concluded with cutting of the Christmas cake, tea and a prayer service by pastor Sadhu Sundar Singh of North India Christian Church.
