Pet owner stabbed after altercation over dog’s barking
BENGALURU, Dec 12: A 34-year-old man was stabbed by a group of individuals at Doddacheemanahalli villlage of Bengaluru Rural district after an altercation over his pet dog barking at them, police said on Tuesday.The victim, identified as Madhu Kumar, was attacked on Monday night and is currently hospitalized.According to police, the altercation broke out when accused individuals from same village were complaining to Kumar about the consistent barking of his pet dog at them. Subseuently, the accused physically assaulted the pet owner and his wife, Mamatha.One of the attackers stabbed Kumar in the abdomen.The pet owner has filed a complaint with the police station, said an official.The accused have fled the village since the incident, and the police have launched an investigation into the incident, the official added. Cong leader arrested for sharing fake picture on X
AHMEDABAD, Dec 12: Congress leader Hitendra Pithadiya was arrested here on Tuesday for allegedly sharing an obscene picture on social media and claiming that the man in the photo was the priest of the under-construction Ram temple in Ayodhya.As per the state Congress’s website, Pithadiya is the chairman of its Scheduled Castes department.Based on a complaint filed by local BJP leader Vaibhav Makwana, Ahmedabad city police’s cyber crime branch arrested Pithadiya, a resident of Vejalpur area, an official said.“A FIR was registered against the Congress leader under Indian Penal Code sections 295A (outraging religious feelings), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to outrage the modesty of a woman) and 469 (forgery for purpose of harming reputation).The complaint said that Pithadiya shared an obscene photograph on X, and claimed that the man seen in the picture was Mohit Pandey who was recently appointed as the priest of the Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya.
