Sutnga emerge victorious in Super Division final

Khliehriat, Dec 12: The climax of the Super Division Football Tournament 2023 unfolded under the auspices of the East Jaiñtia Hills District Football Association (EJHDFA) as the eagerly anticipated final took place between Sutnga SSCC and Rymbai Shkenshynriah SC.
The showdown occurred at the Deiñchynrum Ground, culminating in a thrilling encounter where Sutnga SSCC secured a 1-0 victory over Rymbai Shkenshynriah SC.
In the preceding Qualifier 2 match, Rymbai Shkenshynriah SC advanced to the final by defeating R.Iawpynsing SC with a score of 2-1.
Hikaidame Bareh scored in the 5th minute, and Roiboklang Bareh sealed the victory in the 96th minute for Rymbai Shkenshynriah SC.
Responding to the challenge, R.Iawpynsing SC managed a goal through Hesmiki Rymbai in the 90+2nd minute.Rymbai Shkenshynriah SC entered the final with high spirits, aiming to secure the title against Sutnga SSCC and assert their dominance in the tournament.
The final witnessed intense competition as both teams fought relentlessly, but it was Sutnga SSCC who emerged as the ultimate champions, leaving an indelible mark in the annals of EJHDFA football history.
The final event was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Kyrmen Shylla, the Honorable Minister of Sports for the state, and Hamlet Dohling, President of the Meghalaya Football Association, who shared their insights and encouragement for the continued growth of football in the region.
