Cong starts spade work for LS polls

SHILLONG, Dec 13: The Congress party has begun laying the groundwork for the impending Lok Sabha elections.
Congress MLA, Saleng Sangma informed this, stating that the party and its leaders are in communication with the AICC regarding strategies to fortify the party in the state.
It was learned that during a recent meeting with the AICC leaders, the MPCC president and Shillong MP Vincent H Pala received instructions to reorganise the party in each block.
In addition, the party is conducting an internal analysis to determine whether there was a problem with the party’s leadership or candidates, as well as why it did not perform well in the Assembly elections.
Sangma acknowledged that the party does not currently have the strength to simply go all out in the election mode, but added, “Even in Garo Hills, we are coming, though it is slow.”
