NEPMU to keep transporting fuels to Meghalaya

Shillong, Dec 14: The North East Petroleum Mazdoor Union (NEPMU), has withdrawn its decision to stop transporting fuel to Meghalaya.

Informing this, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Minister, Comingone Ymbon said that the representatives of the State government along with the members of the Union had a meeting today and the union agreed to withdraw its decision to stop transporting fuel to Meghalaya.

He said the Union wanted the State government to intervene in the detention of the 13 people who were picked up by the police following complaints of theft, but the State government made it clear that it can’t interfere in the judicial matter.

He also requested the public not to panic.
