Shillong, Dec 15: In a crucial Round 11 fixture of the I-League, Shillong Lajong is set to face Real Kashmir in an away battle. The Reds, entering their tenth game of the season away from home, will square off against Real Kashmir today, at 2 pm on the TRC Turf in Srinagar.
Following a recent setback against Aizawl FC, Lajong currently holds a tally of four wins, four draws, and one loss.
They find themselves in the 5th position on the points table with 16 points from 9 matches.
In a pre-match press conference conducted earlier on Friday, Lajong’s head coach, Bobby L Nongbet, acknowledged the challenge posed by Real Kashmir, emphasizing that playing on their home turf makes them a formidable opponent.
Despite the anticipated difficulty, Nongbet expressed optimism about his team’s ability to put up a strong fight and secure a positive outcome in the match.
Real Kashmir, led by head coach Ishfaq Ahmed, is currently positioned at 3rd place on the points table with 17 points from 9 matches.
The upcoming clash is poised to be a significant test for Lajong, facing the snow leopards away from home.
With only one point separating the two teams in the points table, the match promises to deliver an exhilarating contest between Shillong Lajong and Real Kashmir.
