Body found in paddy field in SWKH

Mawkyrwat, Dec 16: A 65-year-old woman was found dead in a paddy field at Mawsaw village near Mawkyrwat, in South West Khasi Hills, on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Miandaris Iawphniaw of Mawsaw village.
According to sources and relatives, the deceased left her residence on Friday evening but did not return home and it was on Saturday morning that her body was seen by the villagers at the paddy field in the village. Inquest and formalities have been observed and the body was forwarded to CHC Mawkyrwat for postmortem.
