Improvement of Tura-Dalu road likely to be ready in six months

SHILLONG, Dec 16: The widening and improvement of the Tura-Dalu road is expected to be completed in the next six months.
The status report of the project which is being implemented by NHIDCL stated that it is 57 percent completed while the financial progress is 56 percent.
The widening of the 51-kilometer 2-lane with the geometric improvement of Tura-Dalu Road lanes with paved shoulder is being taken up at an awarded cost of Rs 358.65 crores.
The project was awarded in 2018 and it is expected to be completed by June 30 next year. On the other hand, the rehabilitation and improvement of the Nongstoin-Rambrai-Kyrshai road up to the Meghalaya Assam border is also 61 percent completed, and the project is expected to be completed by May 30 next year. The 33 km road has been awarded for Rs 155.54 crores and the work started last year.
