Murder & assault case in WKH: Cops suspect robbery

SHILLONG, Dec 16: In the case of the recent murder of a teacher of Rangsapara Secondary School under Mawshynrut Block in West Khasi Hills and the assault of another, West Khasi Hills Police suspect that the motive of the crime was to loot money from the duo.
West Khasi Hills SP Bikram Marak informed that no arrests have been made so far into the incident but the investigation is progressing in the right direction. “We are investigating it from all angles,” he said.
It may be mentioned that a teacher of Rangsapara Secondary School in West Khasi Hills died while another was grievously injured when they were waylaid by unidentified miscreants at Mynniar village on Monday evening.
The deceased identified as TR Sangma (48) was travelling with his colleague, S Chettri (49) from Nongstoin towards Rangsapara when the miscreants waylaid them with the intention to rob.
