Students petition CM for release of scholarships

 Tura, Dec 21: The Tura Law College Students’ Union, TGCSU and the FKJGP, TGC Cell has submitted a joint memorandum to Chief Minister Conrad Sangma with an appeal that their pending scholarships be released before the academic session closes for the festivities.

According to the memorandum, out of the total of 3380 students from Tura Government College, only 40 of them have received the scholarships while only 6 students received the same out of 239 students from the Tura Law College.

Pointing out that the situation is the same in colleges all over the state, the organizations requested that the scholarships be released as early as possible before colleges close on December 23.
