Shillong, December 27: In the aftermath of an explosion near the Israel embassy in New Delhi, security measures in the vicinity have been intensified. The embassy officially confirmed the incident, assuring that no casualties or injuries have been reported.

As per India Today, CCTV footage revealed two individuals near the blast site, prompting efforts to trace their movements and apprehend them. Delhi Police is meticulously examining footage from nearby cameras to reconstruct the suspects’ path to the embassy and identify potential accomplices.

Close to the blast site, a typed letter addressed to the Israeli embassy’s Ambassador, enveloped in an Israeli flag, was discovered. The letter, composed in English, discusses Israel’s actions in Gaza and makes references to ‘revenge.’ India Today reported that sources indicate that a group has claimed responsibility for the explosion.

Following the blast, the area was briefly cordoned off and later reopened. The elite National Security Guard (NSG) has deployed a team to investigate, and the Delhi Police is actively conducting its own probe into the incident.

The explosion, reported around 5 pm on Tuesday, prompted swift action from bomb squads and special police teams. Responding to an anonymous call, authorities searched an empty plot behind the mission, but no suspicious items were found. The situation remains under scrutiny as investigations continue.
