SHILLONG, Dec 27: Commemorating the National Farmer’s Day, the BJP Kisan Morcha on Saturday communicated to the farmers about several farmer-friendly schemes of the BJP-led central government, at Liarkhla village under Umroi Constituency in Ri-Bhoi district.
Several workshops were also conducted on topics such as ‘Orientations on National Mushroom Day,’ ‘Integrated Pest Management,’ and ‘Promotion of IPM on Rice & Vegetable Crops in Tribal Region of Meghalaya.’
The program also discussed the methods and benefits of modern farming practices with the attendees.
Various vegetable seeds and organic bio-pesticides were distributed among farmers in the area, emphasizing the shift from chemicals to natural methods for a healthier state and nation.
