City school bids farewell to its Class X, XII students

SHILLONG, Dec 29: As has been customary every year, the Shillong Jail Road Boys’ Higher Secondary School bid farewell to its students by organising a farewell function for Class X and XII students in a befitting manner.
The function, organised on December 20, was graced by president of the school management committee, Dr Malay Dey, MD of Meghalaya Cooperative Apex Bank Ltd, Osmand J Nongbri, and his colleague Debasish Dasgupta, besides Chief General Manager (Retd), Meghalaya Tourism Development Corporation Ltd, Puranjan Das, and Bikramjit Bhattacharjee, an ex student of the school.
Puranjan Das presented a certificate of appreciation in the form of a memento in recognition of merit and a cheque of Rs 10,000 to a student, Riya Das, who was the topper from the school, in loving memory of his father Late Priti Kumar Das.
