Shillong goes shindig
As the picnic season kicks off, Shillong’s market is buzzing with picnic enthusiasts armed with local chicken, good tunes, and resolutions. The picnic-goers have taken over the hustling bustling market places, as the responsible ones go around shopping for the group to have a gala time.
Its boom time for bus transporters, local chicken dealers, and utensil renters, ushering in a new era of profits for them. The city will stand witness to a symphony of blaring bus music as folks of all ages ditch their worries, embracing the ‘live for today’ vibe. The city is about to witness a few days of merry madness, where worries are left in the rearview mirror, like the past year.
In the spirit of satire and the festive season, here’s to a New Year filled with merrymaking and leaving worries behind like politicians leave parties. Hoping 2024 brings joy, laughter, and better roads for all the readers of the Shillong Jottings!
