Shillong, Jan 7: The Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) has decided not to field any candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha election. Party working president, Thomas Passah on Sunday informed that the party will support the candidate of any party which is not affiliated with the BJP.
Passah further said that they will focus on the KHADC election and the party has so far received applications for the party tickets from at least 20 constituencies.
Informing that the party has already constituted the state election committee to discuss the aspirants for party tickets, the KHNAM working president said that the final decision on the party ticket will be made by the central executive committee.
It may be recalled that the party did not field any candidates in the 2023 Assembly polls in the state.
