‘Death’ in EJH coal mine: Cops register case

SHILLONG, Jan 11: After the constitution of a magisterial inquiry into the alleged death of a coal miner in a coal mine at Moolang village in East Jaintia Hills, the district police have also registered a case into the matter.
According to sources, the police have registered a case while the family and relatives of the deceased told police that his death is not connected to any coal mine and he was also admitted in one of the Hospitals before his death.
It was learned that the person died on Wednesday and was buried on the same day.
Meanwhile, the magistrate has been asked to submit a preliminary report of the magisterial inquiry to ascertain the death of the individual within Friday.
