SHILLONG, Jan 11: The high-mast light at Mawlai Nongmali junction near the Food Corporation of India godown was inaugurated by VPP MLA, Adelbert Nongrum on Tuesday. An amount of Rs 4.62 lakh was sanctioned by the MLA from the Special Urban Works Programme (SUWP) for 2020-2021 for the project.
Speaking on the occasion, the North Shillong MLA said the installation of the high mast light will benefit the people during the night hours.
Other present on the occasion include VPP North Shillong Circle president, Strong Pillar Kharjana, Mawdatbaki Rangbah Shnong, BR Kharmujai, and Secretary of Dorbar Shnong Nongmali, Apples Star Mawlong.
