Jowai, Jan 15: Catholic Youth Mihmyntdu FC and Sabahmuswang FC reached the semifinals of the Republic Day Cup U-13 Football Tournament organised by West Jaintia District Sports Association at Kiang Nangbah Stadium, here on Monday.
Catholic Youth FC piped Iawmulong Nartiang FC by 1-0 margin to enter into the semis with Manbha Phawa scored the only goal.
In the second match, Sabahmuswang beat Iongpiah FC in a closely fought penalty shootout after the scores were tied at 3-3 after the end of regulation period.
