Iashanbok joint highest scorer of AIFF Elite League

Shillong, Jan 15: Iashanbok Buhphang has raced to the top of the scoring charts in the All India Football Federation’s 2023-24 Elite League with 11 goals at the moment.
Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools – Delhi are playing in Group G, the northern zone, and have won four matches out of seven so far.
On Sunday, Iashanbok scored twice in a 4-2 win against Delhi FC and was named Player of the Match. He has also previously captained the team and has at least two other Meghalayans for company at BBFS Delhi – Manbhakupar Malngiang and Banpliebok Khongjoh.
As of Sunday, BBFS Delhi are third in their group with 13 points, one behind Sudeva Delhi and three behind leaders Punjab FC.
Iashanbok has past experience of the same tournament, having previously played for Garhwal FC.
