Nihang Sikh kills man over suspicion of sacrilege at Punjab Gurudwara

Shillong, January 16: A Nihang Sikh allegedly killed a migrant worker in a Gurudwara at Phagwara of Punjab on Tuesday morning.

Nihang Sikh is accused of killing a young man at Gurudwara Shri Choura Khooh Sahib, allegedly over sacrilege concerns, as per the police’s statement.

As per India Today, the Punjab Police’s senior officials are on-site, leading an ongoing investigation, according to Phagwara SP Gurpreet Singh. Following the incident, a substantial police presence has been established at the Gurudwara.

The Nihang Sikh behind the killing is also believed to have posted a video and a selfie of him on a social media platform after the killing.
