Shah inaugurates cyber security ops centre at AR headquarters

SHILLONG, Jan 18: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, inaugurated the Cyber Security Operations Centre at the Assam Rifles Headquarters in Laitkor, Shillong, on Thursday.
Addressing the audience, Shah emphasised on the government’s commitment to ensuring a secure internet environment for every citizen, making the prevention of cyber crimes a top priority.
Shah commending the Assam Rifles for its modernization efforts and the newly inaugurated Cyber Security Operations Centre, added, that the facility would enhance the Cyber Security posture of the force by conducting real-time monitoring of the network, mitigating external threats, and preventing cyber violations in the Assam Rifles Wide Area Network (ARWAN).
The Centre is equipped with state-of-the-art network and data monitoring devices to provide 24×7 services.
This Cyber Security Operations Centre marks a significant milestone as the first of its kind among all Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).
