Shillong, January 21: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi has rescinded its earlier decision to observe a half-day until 2.30 pm on January 22 in light of the Ram Mandir ‘Pran Pratishtha’ or consecration ceremony.

In an official statement, AIIMS clarified that the outpatient department will remain open to cater to patients with appointments to prevent any inconvenience.

As per India Today, this reversal follows AIIMS Delhi’s initial announcement on Saturday, declaring a half-day closure until 2:30 pm on January 22 for the celebration of the Ram Mandir’s Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya.

The Administrative Officer of the hospital assured that critical services would continue to operate during this period.
