SHILLONG, Jan 28: The Meghalaya BJP has dismissed the recent threat from a group of BJP leaders and workers dissatisfied with the manner in which party president Rikman G Momin operates, saying the charges are baseless.
BJP Meghalaya spokesperson, Mariahom Kharkrang made it clear on Sunday that these assertions and charges are unfounded and completely untrue.
“The rumours that are circulating are merely that—stories, imaginative portrayals of pranksters hostile to the expansion of BJP Meghalaya, fabrications devoid of any veracity. There have also been claims that certain BJP leaders are supported in the story that is circulating. Since no genuine BJP leader ever operates in the background, BJP Meghalaya challenges the opposition to identify these leaders. The party takes great pride in its fearless leaders who speak out in public and engage with Rikman face-to-face, whose doors are always open,” Kharkrang stated.
“The overwhelming positive energy that permeates the rank and file now is felt by anyone who joins the party, and the BJP hopes that one day all of Meghalaya will join as well. The party cadre look up to Rikman G Momin for leadership in any part of the state, and they anticipate extraordinary outcomes under his direction,” Kharkrang said.
The BJP state unit reiterated its support for the new state president’s vision of growth and stated that it is determined to assist him in realising his goals for the party.
“The state president received this commitment from state office bearers, district presidents, committees, Mahila Morchas, Youth Morchas, ST Morchas, Minority Morchas, OBC Morchas, and anybody else who is even slightly connected to the party.
